| El meu major temor quan vaig anar a la commemoració del genocidi armeni a Istanbul era que Erdogan, amb les eleccions que s'acosten i la necessitat d'apel·lar als votants nacionalistes/del MHP, considerara la nostra presència en Istiklal Cd com una amenaça i que la policia ens dispersara, i que permetera que manifestants nacionalistes irromperen en les nostres files i ens atacaren. | My biggest fear going into the commemoration of the Armenian Genocide in Istanbul was that Erdogan, with elections approaching and a need to appeal to the MHP/nationalist voters, would see our presence on Istiklal Cd as a threat and that the police would then melt away, allowing the nationalist protestors to break through their lines and attack us. |
